AHFA prepares full slate for June logistics event

HIGH POINT — The American Home Furnishings Alliance is filling up the agenda for its upcoming Logistics Conference, set for June 17-19 in Charleston, S.C.

The event will start with keynote speaker and former American Ninja Warrior competitor, Alex Weber. Other topics for the three-day event include:

  • The digital and AI transformation of transportation and logistics, with Jake Hoffman, chief technology officer for Gnosis Freight
  • The state of the U.S. economy and its impact on the home furnishings industry, with Mark Vitner chief economist at Piedmont Crescent Capital
  • Industry leader keynote, featuring former Samson Marketing President/CEO Kevin O’Connor
  • State of ocean freight, with Michael Angell, an associate editor at the Journal of Commerce
  • Update on California regulations, with Peter Schneider, president of the T.G.S. Logistics
  • Update on the U.S. regulatory and legal environment for transportation, with Henry Seaton of Seaton & Husk LP
  • South Carolina Ports update, with Chief Commercial Officer Byron Miller
  • Supply chain challenges, a panel discussion with Julian Ludlow, Fragile Pak; Scott Prillaman, Hooker Furniture; Brad Russell, Bassett Mirror Company; and Doug Jermyn, Samson Marketing.
