HILTON HEAD, S.C. – The 2024 Bedding Conference is a little over a week away, and Furniture Today and its partners are offering attendees three welcoming activities in which to participate.

The annual golf tournament sponsored by Spring Air International, a volunteer charity event with the local Boys & Girls Club sponsored by King Koil and new to the agenda, a pickleball tournament sponsored by Renaissance Elevated Sleep Technology (R.E.S.T.).

The Bedding Conference is set for May 14-16 at the Hilton Beachfront Resort & Spa in Hilton Head, S.C.

New to the lineup this year is a pickleball tournament sponsored by Renaissance Elevated Sleep Technology (R.E.S.T.). The tournament is open to all levels of players – long-time pickleballers, as well as beginners looking to explore the sport. The bedding industry has a number of serious players, including Paris Fealy, R.E.S.T.’s chief executive and Bob McCarthy, managing director of Resident Home.

Pickleball, a cross between tennis, badminton and ping pong, has become one of the fastest growing sports in America.

The Bedding Conference pickleball matches start at 1 p.m. at a court a short walk from the conference hotel.

The volunteer event this year will feature a carnival for about 140 kids at the Hilton Head Boys & Girls Club. A conference fan favorite since 2017, King Koil sponsors the annual event for local children giving them the opportunity to play games, dance, eat and this year, enjoy a Build-A-Bear workshop experience at the club. Kicking off at 3 p.m. at the club, shuttles will transport participants.

Tee time for the golf tournament, sponsored by Spring Air, is 1 p.m. Shuttles from the hotel to the Arthur Hills Golf Course at Palmetto Dunes will leave at 12:15 p.m. A staple of the Bedding Conference since its inception, the tournament always results in bragging rights for the winning team.
