CORT promotes for new group VP

CHANTILLY, Va. — CORT, a provider of furniture rental and destination services, has promoted Shayne Aguilar to group vice president of operations for the Mountain Region (Nevada, Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona and Utah) and parts of the Central Region (El Paso, Texas, and Kansas City, Kan.).

Aguilar joined CORT in 2001, serving as operations manager for the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City. He transitioned into the role of district general manager for the Salt Lake City district and eventually became area manager for the Mountain Region.

“Shayne’s journey with CORT has been one of continued growth and impressive achievements,” said Paula Newell, chief operating officer. “His dedication and commitment to operational excellence have been instrumental in our success.”

Before his tenure at CORT, Aguilar served a two-year mission in Minnesota and Wisconsin, followed by a 12-year tenure at UPS, where he spent the last 10 years in operations management. He then managed operations in the manufacturing sector at Gateway Computer for three years.
