Gift for Life bringing Home vs Hunger campaign to Las Vegas market

LAS VEGAS—After the rousing success of its Home vs Hunger fundraising campaign at High Point Market in recent years, Gift for Life has announced the campaign will be expanding to the Summer 2024 edition of Las Vegas Market at World Market Center Las Vegas.

Gift for Life, the gift and home industries’ longest-running charitable organization, has exclusively held the fundraising event at High Point Market in the past. For the first-ever Las Vegas Home vs Hunger fundraising campaign, manufacturers will be encouraged to pledge donations towards hunger relief efforts (e.g., donating $1 per order, rounding up to the nearest dollar per order, etc.). Market exhibitors who join the initiative will receive recognition in Gift for Life’s marketing efforts and will each receive a sign to display in their booth or showroom with an interactive QR code.

“I’m excited to lead this kickoff and look forward to enthusiastic participation by CMA vendors,” said Emalee Hoffman, co-chair of Gift for Life and vice president of sales for CMA – the sales agency spearheading the Vegas expansion. “We invite other Las Vegas Market exhibitors – whether manufacturers or sales agencies – to join us in raising funds for World Central Kitchen’s crisis-related hunger relief efforts.”

The Home vs Hunger campaign debuted at High Point Market in October 2022. Since then, fundraising efforts have continued at in-person events at High Point Market in Fall 2022, Spring 2023 and Spring 2024, and through online campaigns in February 2023 after the earthquakes in Turkey and Syria and in August 2023 after the Maui wildfires. To date, more than $60,000 has been raised for World Central Kitchen’s crisis related hunger relief efforts.
