Hollywood at Home’s new bed frame shows 1 model covers all size & height needs

COMMERCE, Calif. – Home by Hollywood has reengineered the bed frame with a new one-size-fits-most, height-adjustable model that gives retailers the ability to capture a higher ticket and allow consumers to customize the frame to meet their needs.

The one model Modifi bed frame can accommodate full, queen, king and California king beds and works alone, with furniture or with an adjustable bed base. In addition to adjusting to various bed sizes, the frame can adjust from 5 inches to 7.5 inches to 10 inches high, allowing for low-profile beds or to give consumers the ability raise the bed height to offer under-bed storage. The frame is delivered with three sets of feet allowing consumers to make the height choice at home. A locking mechanism on Modifi’s side rales allow for expanding or contracting the frame to marry with the mattress size.

“Driving innovation and helping retailers increase close rates and average unit selling tickets is an essential part of our mission to help our retail partners,” said Matt Anderson, chief commercial officer for Hollywood. “With Modifi, we have been able to create a product with both a style and a functionality that gives consumers the benefits they intuitively understand.”

The frame supports up to 6,000 pounds to accommodate heavy mattress and adjustable bed combinations, Anderson said, adding that its flexibility in size, height and accommodations makes the frame an easy sale for retail sales associates. The company is positioning Modifi as the “last sleep support system you’ll ever need” for its flexibility to adapt as lifestyles change.

Priced to retail at $399, Modifi is available in four colors – black, grey, white and blue – to coordinate with different room designs.

Anderson said the frame can help lower return rates because of mattress profile issues. “If a mattress is perceived to be too high or too low once it is in the customer’s home, the Modifi allows for an easy fix,” he said. “Just lower or raise the legs to their preferred height.”

At the summer Las Vegas Market, Hollywood will offer retailers a free floor sample program through Aug. 1 on the Modifi, which is currently in stock for immediate shipment from the company’s West Coast warehouse and its Lexington, N.C., warehouse.

In addition to the Modifi launch, the company is expanding its adjustable bed base program to feature three models, giving retailers a good-better-best program ranging with models designed to retail at $599, $899 and $1,699. The new Series one model adds an opening price base with head up, foot up and a wireless remote.

The bases, with a mix of functionality based on pricing, are available for delivery in any quantity from the Hollywood East and West Coast distribution centers. “We’re enabling retailers who don’t want to buy full containers the capability to compete in today’s marketplace,” Anderson said.

The company’s Las Vegas showroom is located at C-1552.
