Homesense opens 1st store in major Texas metro

FRAMINGHAM, Mass. — Homesense, the latest home furnishings brand from The TJX Companies, opened its newest showroom in the greater Houston area on May 9.

Local reports from the Houston Chronicle and My Neighborhood News indicate that it is the first Homesense in the Houston market.

Located at 6565 South Fry Road in Katy, Texas, the store opened in the Grand Lakes Market Center in a former Stein Mart location.

During the grand opening, Homesense presented a check for $10,000 to Camp For All, a charity that helps create opportunities for children and adults facing challenging illnesses, disabilities or special needs.

Homesense features a wide array of furniture, a rug emporium, a wall art and mirror gallery, and a lighting department that includes hanging chandeliers.

According to its website, Homesense recently opened a showroom in Naples, Fla., and will open one in Hilton Head, S.C., later this month.
