IHFRA names 9 to ‘dream team’ of honorees for 2024

HIGH POINT — The International Home Furnishings Representatives Assn. has lined up its honorees for this year’s 28th annual Furniture Industry Awards Gala.

Set for 6 p.m., Oct. 25, at the Nido and Mariana Qubein Arena and Conference Center on the campus of High Point University, the gala event will present six awards to nine honorees as part of this year’s “IHFRA’s Industry Dream Team” theme.

“The interplay between suppliers, retailers, reps and the leaders at the American Home Furnishings Alliance and the High Point Market Authority is identical to the interplay between any successful professional sports team,” said Steve Allegrezza, IHFRA executive director, “and this year’s honorees have been key to helping our sector to score.”

Honorees for 2024 include:

  • Broad River Retail, Retailer of the Year
  • Caroline Hipple, newly named chief creative officer of Hooker Furnishings, Industry Icon
  • Andy Counts, CEO of the AHFA, and Tammy Covington Nagem, CEO of the HPMA, Pillars of the Industry
  • Michael Neros, Distinguished Service Award
  • Ron and Jeff Russell, and Dave McKinnon, representing Ashley Furniture, Legacy Award honorees
  • Chris Guseinov, AICO, Rising Star

Allegrezza pointed out that each of this year’s “dream team” have consistently improved their individual companies and, by extension,  elevated the industry’s image by making it more efficient, professional and consumer-centric.
