ALEXANDRIA, Va. — The International Sleep Products Assn. has set its next Sustainability Conference for Sept. 25-26 at the Hilton Charlotte Uptown in Charlotte, N.C.

The 2024 conference will cover a range of sustainability topics relevant to the industry, including sustainability, communication, legislative updates, greenwashing, energy management in manufacturing, mattress recycling developments and more.

A pre-conference seminar on circular design principles with Dr. Melissa Bilec, co-director of the Mascaro Center for Sustainable Innovation and professor in Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Pittsburgh, will be offered to attendees as an optional, paid add-on session. The pre-conference seminar also will cover environmental economics, supply chain management, life cycle assessments and consumer behavior.

Also prior to the conference, the Mattress Recycling Council will host a discussion about mattress deconstruction challenges and how to improve the circularity of mattress designs.
