MEXICO CITY – Custom furniture and architecture firm Simon Hamui has introduced a new luxury furniture collection that’s made in and ships from Mexico.

The nine-piece case collection includes a four-poster bed, bar cabinet, dining table, low-profile bookcase, bar-height table, coffee table, dining console and two side tables. Items are crafted from a mix of materials including stone, metal, glass, acrylic and solid wood.

One highlight is the Clio coffee table, which features a glass top resting on a sandblasted acrylic base with silver or gold leaf backing. The acrylic’s thickness and sandblasted effect make it look like items placed on the table are floating.

Another highlight, the Gerrit bed, features an adjustable fabric pergola for customizable privacy, leather upholstery and integrated bedside tables with hidden power outlets.

Clio sells for $17,000, while Gerrit – the second-most expensive of the collection – sells for $39,000. Both are available exclusively on the high-end e-commerce marketplace, where they’re made to order and ship within ten weeks.

Simon Hamui specializes in custom furniture but also provides specialty millwork and interior architecture. Projects range from commissions of one-off furniture pieces to interior design projects like art curating and lighting design. The firm has its main headquarters in Mexico City with a workshop that integrates woodwork, stone, metal and upholstery departments to manufacture the custom pieces.
