Quroum to roll out the one category it hasn’t had

DALLAS – Quorum International is planning a major product launch this fall featuring the one category it did not previously offer — area rugs.

The new rug brand, called Lavin, will officially launch in the fall at High Point Market with close to 3,000 SKUs across 48 collections. There will be various constructions, including power-loomed and hand-woven options, made in Turkey and India and warehoused in Fort Worth, Texas, where Quorum is headquartered.

Some of the products soft-launched at the Dallas Total Home & Gift Show last week, where they were featured in vignettes throughout the Cyan Design showroom. Cyan Design is a sister brand, part of the Quorum International family that also includes two lighting brands: Quorum and Oxygen. A sneak-peek video on the lanvin.net website showed rugs being hand woven and finished.

“The only thing missing from our offerings was floor coverings,” said Marketing Director Jesus Lopez during the Dallas show. “We wanted to be a one-stop shop.”

The addition of another product category will also help Quorum and its customers save on shipping costs because they can be added to a container load. “It’s something we hear about constantly,” Lopez said, regarding shipping costs that he said remain stubbornly high.

Lopez was enthusiastic about the upcoming launch. “We’re hitting it big,” he said.
