The George Hotel has opened its doorways inside of Georgetown, South Carolina’s historic district.

Designed and owned by Winyah Hospitality and operated by the Indigo Road Hospitality Team, the waterfront property capabilities 56 guestrooms and suites together with a total-services cafe, bar, and personal party space.

The hotel, curated by Jenny Keenan Layout, houses an eclectic selection of classic European furnishings and custom made pieces impressed by the encompassing area’s 18th- and 19th-century architecture—from a jewel-toned, material-skirted entrance desk to bespoke headboards in each individual guestroom. Historic materials, mural wallpapers, and whimsical paintings by neighborhood artists are also showcased.

Anchoring the inside, the lobby functions two-toned hardwood and limewashed plank partitions, location a neutral backdrop for the space’s assortment of patterned sofas, wingback chairs, and oriental rugs.
