Which country got its first Ashley store in April?

KATHMANDU, Nepal — S.N. Joshi & Sons held a grand opening for the first Ashley store in Nepal on April 20. Located in Teku, Kathmandu 44600, the 4,900-square-foot store is S.N. Joshi & Sons’ first Ashley store and will employ approximately 15 people.

“Ashley is known for its quality and wide range of products, raising the standards for other furniture stores in the country,” said Sudarshan Narayan Joshi, chairman S.N. Joshi & Sons. “With a reputable brand like Ashley entering the market, consumers have more options and better access to stylish and durable furniture.”

Special guests at the grand opening included Jason P. Meeks, deputy chief of mission, U.S. Embassy; Joshi; Robin Lim Jit Piow, vice president of sales, Asia Pacific at Ashley Furniture Inds.; H.E. Vosita Vorasaph, ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to Nepal; along with S.N. Joshi & Sons leadership and employees.

The store’s interior architectural design includes 25 room settings with unique finishes. The showroom features complete lifestyle vignettes, down to the final detail of lighting, rugs and wall art. Product categories include bedroom, dining room, upholstery, leather, occasional tables, home office, youth bedroom, recliners, mattresses and accessories. Technology enhances the environment, incorporating various elements to improve the customer shopping experience.
