What the 2026 FIFA World Cup means for Atlanta Market

ATLANTA — Due to the upcoming FIFA World Cup, Andmore has announced schedule changes for the summer 2026 edition of Atlanta Market.

To avoid overlap with FIFA World Cup matches taking place in Atlanta that summer, Andmore has decided to shift Atlanta Market up on the calendar and run it concurrently with Atlanta Apparel at AmericasMart Atlanta. The new dates will be June 9-14, 2026, with temporaries opening on June 10.

“When we learned of the overlap of our summer Atlanta Market with the FIFA World Cup matches, we began to explore alternate dates in order to secure hotel rooms and amenities needed for our tenants, exhibitors and attendees,” said Andmore CEO Jon Pertchik. “The concurrent scheduling of Andmore’s summer 2026 Apparel and Gift & Home Markets will provide both industries with a unique opportunity for a dynamic and efficient market experience.”

The typical summer market dates in mid-July fall in direct conflict with the World Cup matches that are scheduled from mid-June to mid-July, including a semifinal match on July 15 in downtown Atlanta. The soccer event is expected to max out hotels and accommodations during the tournament.

With the shift of Atlanta Market to June, Andmore has secured additional hotel blocks to ensure enough space with Atlanta Apparel attendees. Marketgoers can begin booking 2026 accommodations on July 14, 2025, through market websites or AmericasMart’s onsite booking desk.

The changes to 2026 will not impact any other dates through 2024 or in 2025. Atlanta Market summer 2024 will take place July 16-22; summer 2025 will be July 15-21.
