Ashley’s Career Day events give students a chance to explore many opportunities

ARCADIA, Wis. – Ashley Furniture Inds. has hosted a series of Career Day events over this spring to inspire students about their futures and introduce them to working in the industry.

The company opened the doors of its Arcadia advance manufacturing and distribution facility to more than 100 high school students from Arcadia, Blair-Taylor, Cochrane-Fountain City, Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau, Independence and Whitehall.

Participating students were able to choose from one of four focused events: design; transportation, distribution and diesel mechanics; it and manufacturing; and business. Each focus included a tour of the facility and different workspaces, as well as a chance to hear from professionals about their skills, job duties and work experience.

Ashley continues to invest in STEM-based learning opportunities, scholarships, instructor-based training, robotics programs and exposure to technical trades and career opportunities through long-time partnerships with K-12 and post-secondary schools.
